Scotty, Thanks for the great review of this tool. After your review, I spoke to local mechanics I trust; all praised the Blue Driver. Even mid-price good quality scan tools are $500-$700. Pro tools that are tablets are $2500+. I’ve retired now, and that’s steep. I didn’t want a $20-$50 “magic tool” – they’re junk, all identical except the label. As you say, they can fry engine controls. The Blue Driver was available locally & online, $105-$120. (Bonus: on sale today, $99). My old scan tool cost $250 in 2002-03. It paid for itself. Very useful on my Accord; also on a friend’s 2005 Chev. The Accord was super-reliable even at -40 below. It ran 500,000+ km with only regular servicing before rust got it. The motor was in good shape, so sold that. Now buying a “new” used car. Your reviews & advice are super helpful to know what issues are minor, & what are deal-breakers. I think the Blue Driver will be a big help for a final decision! Thanks from (just about) the Arctic Circle.
Wow guys the more I watch Scotty kilmers videos then come to the comments expecting to study the reviews of the product he is speaking of only to read about every single comment about how much they are in love with Scotty and his mysterious ways with an automobile, this is starting to get a little weird, doesn’t anyone actually have a review of any of the products on here, I mean come on?
